We are working on next year and the rest of this year- give us a call- 605-201-7005.

I've been busy with some time off inbetween sales. I think I'm driving my husband nuts- so what's new right guys. This weekend I tore up my land scaping and they replaed it all today. Johnathon and I painted the deck, I cleaned the house, I had guys put in new windows in the house, ,and working on replacing the furnace. Yeah, I've been a little busy. I also painted my bathroom this weekend and that didn't go over well. I didn't have the shower curtain rod up, so he had to take a bath- 6 foot 4 inches and not happy after baling hay. I was putting up the rod and the drill bit wasn't right and well, I wasn't putting the little dealy things in the holes right and bent them. I brought them in and asked him what I was doing wrong- he bent them back and I sat down after a lecture. Then I heard him putting it up. It was one of those curved ones. He said can we hang up the curtain or are those rings that I saw melted in the birn pile, what we are missing. Johnathon and I laughed. I hung it up and he did say that he liked it more elbow scrubby dubby room. hahahahah. I also am selling my Model A Ford 5 window Coupe. We have a chance of a deal and it is going to go for that- SOOO I have attached a picture of it and give me a call. It's a nice driver. It's been in advertising and southern car. It's also on E-bay right now. Steve is doing his last of baling. he took the calves in today to get cut, poured, and shots. They are beautiful. WE are going to hold back 2 hiefers. Funny story- when I was in first grade- Mom said that I came home with my paper and mad. It said to circle the words that started with "H". I had circled a house, hat, and a cow. I got it wrong. My Mom wrote the teacher a note and said that it was a "Hiefer" and was an "H" word. I got it right. hahahahahah! Farm Girl. the picture must have had a bag on the cow. Steve and I had a cow go down last weekend and she looked like she was going to die. We got the vet out and she was puzzled. We have been waiting for this bugger to calve and the Vet didn't hear or feel one. She gave it a shot of CA, Penicillin, and some medicine for it to clean or abort, if there was anything there- it would go. She couldnt' get up and just was a mess. We went home and the next morning. Steve went up there and she was gone! he went down in the pasture and there she was- walking around eating and cleaned???? The al of a sudden Bong a black calf came flying over the ridge. I called the vet and she just couldnt' belive it. Well, that;'s a good thing, but she's going to town. The bull had a bugger of a time with her. I think she's past her time.

The kids are back in school and it's me and the dog back home working. Diesel talks in the morning. Pretty funny. Emily is a Junior and Johnathon is in 7th grade. Oh My! I guess this year we have to look at colleges. I don't know exactly what Emily Wants to do, but she can draw and paint! She's having fun with her friends and driving!!!! I don't want to think about winter and her driving on 75, But I guess I did it. I do remember one time I was gong to pickup Christie and I had the ford 4x4 Pickup. It was ice on gravel. Her folks and her watched me slide the pickup sideways through the bridge and then land on Hiway 11. They still let her go! But Mrvin called my Dad! I was going a bit fast, for the conditions. I saw creek out my window!

I'm feeling fine. Still working on getting rid of some of that crappy Chemo drug weight- drives me wacky! I went to the doctor and had a check up. I had a reaction to the radiation and have a bit of lymphedema- and not in the arm- if you know what I mean- it hurts. They say that Physical therpay may work- well we'll try it. Otherwise feeling fine- trying to eat better, but hard on the road. I think I need a co-piolet forcing me to eat better. My daughter is really good. Kara, our clerk and my best friend, is not a good influence and my sister is worse. Did you know they make a TROPICAL BING candy- it's fabulous! They have them in Dell Rapids, SD. hahahah.
We had Prairie Village Threshing show in Madison, SD. I helped with pedal pull, did a kids games, and candy and new this year a money throw. I also helped sponsor the big tractor pull. Emily and Johnathon and STeve pulled in the Antique pull. Johnthon has an R Minneapolis and won his class. Emily has never pulled and Steve wanted her to do it. She wouldn't and Kara and I bribed her into pulling. She was in Steve's class with the F-30 and Emily pulled a early styled D John Deere Steve just rebuilt. Here was this sexy little blond putting away down the track and Steve walking by her- she kept going and Won! she beat Steve! She said she was going to put her Redneck Trophy up in her room. I asked her if she was gong to show her friends and she said No! hahahah. Johnathon had a hay day grinding corn. He has a 1 1/2 hp McCormick Deering Gas Engine and grinder. He loves it. Those boys were having a gas. I didn't stay up there and came home to work and do things around the place.

At Nordstorm's Auto Recyclers, in Rural Garretson, SD. they have been very busy with "Klunker" vehicles. 1500 from South Dakota and this area. It's a great deal for their You pull it lot. BUT it takes a large number of vehicles out of the used market that are 2500 to 6000 dollar vehicles. School cars, and more. People say this is one of the few times that Government has subsidized private industry- No- think about it- there are more. Farming is one big one and that opens another big debate. My brother has donated $10.00 out of every car they bought for Klunkers for Christ and part goes to our church for their food drives and the other to Life Light a huge music festival that is fabulous. It really is a wierd deal when you think about it. I wish someone would give my bidders more money to buy things to help me. I really would like to eventual have my husband a farmer or cattle guy and me well my feet really hurt after that Taxol in the PM's and AM;s and a hard days work. hmmmmmmm. The one thing that I see from this whole system that is we are breeding a whole group of people that will not take responsiblity for their actions and want someone else to take the fall or blame and fix the problem. It's a whole generation of "Little Red hen syndrome" . yep, The little Red Hen works away, and then when she has something, everyone wants it and they didn't do any of the work or don't want to. We have a lot of chicks and need more Little Red Hens- My Dad taught us kids to do anything that we wanted to do. it got me in trouble sometimes, but I learned to work. I learned work ethic and how to work. Solve problems, get things done. He used to say " Are you driving the Bus or Riding the bus?". Well, I've been driving the bus for a long time. Somtimes, I wanted to just ride, but then he said, "Do you know the bus driver?" Oh Come on! Well, he has a point. We need to be more self sufficient, responsible, citizens and work together to solve some of these big problems. I think back to the real Cash for Klunkers program- WWII. Everyone was on the same page, the War Effort. It was just what you did. I remember my Grama talking about it. It was an amazing time of togetherness of our country. We need to do that again. Get back that Backbone, and Buck up, Fess up and listen to what is right and just. I have turned past some of that Crap on TV and it's amazing more people are just screwed up watching that. Reality TV- That's not my reality. I remember a time, when I and or my sister were burngin around in Dad's pickup and Lloyd Zweep told on us. Dad knew before we were even home. Everybody looked out for each other around Garretson. Shoot, my Dad knew all the cops. I didn't have a chance, but tried!

I do remember one time, I had a 1979 Ford Supercab Longbox Pickup that I was driving. Christie and I were going to play ball and we were laughing and picked off a bunch of those Hiway barracades. Oops. Then I was in the park after dark hiding from the cop and hit a tree on the side of the pickup. I took it home nad parked it by the grain bin. Dad came flying up from the barn and said, "what di you do to the Pickup?" I told him I hit a bush. He said- "WEll, let go see this bush". WE drove past all the broken barracades, we went to the park and he pulle3d up to the tree. He rolled down his window and then said, "what color Paint is on that tree". I peeled off some, "Blue". Then he proceeded to take me around to all the dealers with the pickup to trade. he then got all the managers and guys in the room and I had to tell them what I did. I think we went to 4 dealers before we got a 1980 Chevrolet Pickup- 6 cylinder 3 speed on the column. Embarassing! But good PUblic Speaking and Comedy. think the 6 cylinder 3 speed was the punishment. ahahahah. Well better get to bed- and sweep the floor first. See you at the auctions!
